Lynda Kaye Adams
Lynda K. Adams, 55, a child of God, of Winchester, Virginia, was called home Sunday June 24, 2007.
Mrs. Adams was born September 9, 1951 in Lynchburg, VA the daughter of the late Samuel Bryant and Alice Tibbits Bryant. She graduated from Fairfax High School and received a B.F.A. from the Corcoran College of Art + Design. Kaye was first a mother. She practiced real estate brokerage in the city of Winchester. She served as President of the Blue Ridge Assoc. of Realtors in 1995. Kaye was active for many years in the Christian Women's Club, Winchester Christian Book Club, Fellowship Bible Church, and Christ Episcopal Church. She supported numerous fine art museums and publications, as well as women's organizations, including American Association of University Women.
She was married to C. Douglas Adams of Winchester for 10 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory with her husband; a daughter, Rachel Star Nicholson of Port Orange, Florida, and one son Nicholas John Nicholson of Dallas, Texas; four stepchildren, Ellen Adams of Amissville, VA., Garth Adams of Augusta WV., Leith Boyd of Winchester, VA, and Sarah Adams Bell of Winchester, VA.; one brother, Al Bryant of Broad Run, VA.; two sisters, Karen Bryant of Fairfax, VA., and Alice Gleason of Leesburg, Florida; and numerous step-grandchildren.
One step son, Kevin Adams preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 8:30 am Thursday June 28, 2007 at Fellowship Bible Church, 217 Middle Road, Winchester, VA., with Pastor John Morrison officiating.
A private inurnment service will be at a later date.
