Marvin Eugene "Tugene" Thomas, II
Marvin Eugene Thomas, II, affectionately known as "Tugene", 51, Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. His death was sudden and unexpected.
Tugene was born on November 30, 1962 in Lillybrook, West Virginia, the eldest son of Marvin Eugene Thomas, Sr. and the late Margaret Ann Thomas Reynolds. Tugene was athletic and popular throughout his school years. He graduated from Independence High School, Coal City, WV in 1980 and attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
He was employed with Kirby Company while in Ohio and remained an employee until his death. Anyone who knew him knew his passion for the company's products. During his career he won numerous sales awards.
He is survived by his father, Marvin Eugene Thomas, Sr. of Winchester, VA; three brothers, Gordon Thomas of Charleston, WV; Jeffrey Thomas (Sheana) of Winchester, VA; and Eric Thomas (Regina) of Beckley, WV; two daughters, Déjà Thomas of Youngtown, OH and Téa Thomas of Lewisburg, WV; a grandson, Albert Donald Byrd (mother Déjà ); and a great Uncle, a great Aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA at 11:00 AM.
