Mary Bell Jackson Howard
Mary Bell Howard, 100, of Strasburg, Virginia died,
Saturday October 24, 2009 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Front Royal, Virginia.
Mrs. Howard was born March 7, 1909 in Berryville, Virginia the daughter of the late William A. Jackson and Nannie Justice Williams Jackson. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia. She was a member of the
Josephine Improvement Association.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Nannie B. Howard of Hyattsville, MD. and Ruth P. Thornley of Marshall, Virginia; one son, Earl W. Howard, Jr. of Front Royal, Virginia; two sisters, Dorothy Broadwater of New York, and Estelle Jackson
of Baltimore, MD; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Four sisters, Sarah Jane Twyman, Garnett Jackson, Doris Johnson, and Ruth Jackson; and three brothers, William (Bud) Howard Jackson, Robert Jackson and Shirley Jackson all preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday October 30, 2009 at Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia with Pastor Delbert Hicks officiating.
Family will receive friends 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday October 29, 2009
at the church.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
Interment will be at Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
