Mary Virginia Slaughter
Mary Virginia Slaughter, 82, of Berryville, VA, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at her home in Berryville, VA.
She was born May 8, 1929 in Clarke County, the daughter of the late Issac Johnson and Nellie Alexander Johnson.
She was married to Benjamin F. Slaughter II, who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Ann E. Twyman of Charles Town, WV; one son, Benjamin F. Slaughter III of Front Royal, VA; a brother, James Johnson of Chambersburg, PA; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Debra K. Jackson and Sandra Lea Slaughter; two sisters, Rebecca Smith and Margaret Johnson; and one brother, Thomas Johnson all preceded her in death.
A celebration of life service will be 12:00 pm Thursday June 2, 2011 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Vernon Cartwright officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
