Michael (MJ) Lamont Jackson
Michael L. Jackson was born on December 12, 1961, to Inez and Olan Frederick Jackson, Sr. of Reading, PA.
MJ was baptized and confirmed in the local Catholic Church. He attended the local Catholic School. Later the family moved to Phillipsburg, NJ, where he graduated high school. While in high school, MJ participated in track and field. With his long, skinny legs, he was very fast and earned the name crazy legs.
MJ attended East Stroudsburg State College and later enlisted in the United States Air force, rising to the rank of Tech Sergeant. He earned many badges and was stationed throughout the continental US and in Germany. He was honorably discharged.
In the civilian world he was employed at PTS Consulting and Services Group, Inc. He served as a Photo Imaging Senior Technical Specialist for nineteen years.
MJ was soft-spoken and a gentleman's gentleman. He was an avid golfer, an excellent parachutist, and a licensed pilot.
MJ is survived by; two brothers, Garry Norris and Olan Jackson, Jr.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will Friday, March 8, 2024, at Love and Charity Cemetery in Millwood, Virginia, with Rev. Carter Alsbury officiating.
