Milbert V. Day
Milbert V. Day of Winchester, VA, loss her 7 year battle with Multiple Myeloma on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
She was born in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Harry Taper and Marcia Greene Taper. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, VA, where she was a member of the Missionary Broad.
She was married to Franklin Scott Day, Sr., who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Dorothy(Brian) Day Roache of Mitchellville, MD and Robin Day Owens of Winchester, VA; one son, Franklin S. Day, Jr. of Beltsville, MD; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
A sister, Orissa Taper Thompson preceded her in death.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 4, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Gilbert M. Mack, Jr. officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
