Narcissus (Cissy) Elizabeth Shields

Narcissus (Cissy) Elizabeth Shields, 62, passed away on December 27, 2025.

Born March 3, 1963, in Winchester, Virginia, she was the daughter of Rudolph and Gladys Elliott. Cissy was a devoted partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked for 25 years at New World Pasta/Post, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Roy Deschon; her children, Michael Shields, Jr., Marcus Shields, Theron and Keauna Elliott; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Larry, and Sheila Elliott; Chrissandra Elliott; Anna Curry; Jonathan and Kim Elliott; and Felicia and Darius Boles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Rudolph Elliott, Jr, and sister Barbara Walker, and brother-in-law, Paul Walker.

Cissy was known for her big heart and willingness to help anyone in need. She was the love and light of her family and will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of life Service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester.

Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, Virginia.
