Olan "Buddy" Frederick Jackson, Sr.
Mr. Olan F. Jackson, Sr. of Phillipsburg, N.J., formerly of Millwood, VA, passed away Tuesday May 20th, 2014 in Phillipsburg, N.J.
He was born March 9, 1936 in Millwood, VA, the son of the late Ruth Jackson and William Barber. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He was married to Mrs. Inez Norris Jackson of Phillipsburg, N.J.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Olan Jackson, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Jackson of Hellertown, PA and Garry Norris of Roanoke, VA; and a grandson; a niece, Denise D. Jackson; three nephews, Kevin D. Jackson, William D. Jackson, and Johnathan D. Jackson.
Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday May 29, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Millwood, VA with Pastor Carter Alsberry officiating.
The eulogist is Dr. James Arthur Holmes.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be in Love and Charity Cemetery in Millwood, VA, with Military Honors Afforded by the United States Air Force and the Winchester VFW Post # 2123.
In Lieu of flowers contribution may be sent to the "Wound Warrior Project" at 4899 Belford Road Suite #300 in Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
