Oliver Lee Crawford, Sr.
Oliver L. Crawford, Sr., 92, of Winchester, VA, passed away February 10, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
He was born May 19, 1918 in Alderson, WV, the son of the late Austin B. Crawford, and Nannie Martin Crawford. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester, VA. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus fourth Degree. He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran.
He was married to Margaret Cooke Crawford of Winchester, VA for nearly 58 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory; three sons, Oliver Lee Crawford, Jr., Darryl Vincent Crawford and Michael D. Crawford all of Winchester, VA; a sister, Eva of Lewisburg, WV; and five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A son; a daughter; and brother, Austin B. Crawford all preceded him in death.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday February 15, 2011
at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester, VA., with Rev. Stanley J. Krempa.
Family will received friends 7:00 to 9:00 pm Monday February 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
