Obituary

Pamela Winifred Carey (“Pam”)

Pamela Winifred Carey, lovingly known as “Pam,” passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, at

Winchester Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Pam was born on September 8, 1954, in Winchester, Virginia, to the late Irma Jane Jackson

Carey and the late Charles Alexander Carey Sr.

She was a proud graduate of Clarke County High School, Class of 1973, where she was active in

basketball and school activities. Following high school, Pam attended Bauder Fashion College in Miami, Florida, earning her associate’s degree. After completing her education, she returned

home and began her career at the Doubleday Plant. She later worked for several years at

Montgomery Ward as a Sales Associate and Service Desk Attendant.

In later years, Pam faced health challenges and was ultimately declared disabled. Despite this,

She demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience, continuing to live her life with

determination and grace.

Pam was a devoted and active member of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association in

Frederick, Maryland, where she found great joy and community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joey D. Carey and

Pastor Todd O. Carey.

She is survived by her loving siblings: Charles A. Carey Jr. (Kerri), Tedd O. Carey (Laura), and

Paula Yates, and one Sister-in-Law Gloria Carey. She also leaves behind cherished nieces and

nephews—Chantee, Justin, Brittany, Bronson, Michelle, and Dillon—as well as her great-niece

Savannah and great-nephew Austin.

Pam will also be fondly remembered by a host of aunts,

uncles, extended family members, dear friends, and her church family.

A memorial service will be held on May 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Williams Middle

School Auditorium; Lincoln Ave Berryville Va 22611, repast to follow.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
