Pres. Elder Kelvin S. Christian, Sr.
Kelvin S. Christian, Sr., 50, of Middletown, Virginia died Wednesday July 8, 2009 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia.
Mr. Christian was born March 24, 1959 in Winchester, Virginia the son of the late Richard Washington Christian and Lucy Peyton Christian of Stephens City, Virginia.
He was an Air National Guard veteran. He was member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. He was president of the District choir, supervisor and teacher of bible school in the Front Royal mission, and served as president of the Sons and Daughters of God. He was a PDT Tech at E. I. Dupont Company in Front Royal, Virginia
He was married to Mable Haines Christian of Middletown, Virginia for 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife; his mother, Lucy Peyton Christian of Stephens City, Virginia; one daughter, Carolyn R. Christian; and one son, Kelvin S. Christian, Jr. both of Middletown, Virginia; Three sisters, Sarah Brooks (Robert) and Sheila Elliott(Larry) both of Winchester, Virginia, and Gail Scott(David) of Coshocton, Ohio; Three brothers, Richard Christian, Jr. Rosemont, CA, Rodney Christian (Kun) of Newport News, Virginia, and Kim (Pamela) of Winchester, Virginia; one granddaughter, Keziah R. James and a grandson, Malcolm A.L. James both of Middletown, Virginia.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday July 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Winchester, Virginia with Adv. Pres. Elder Clarence Miller and Pres. Elder David Thomas III. Officiating.
Family will receive friends Friday July 17, 2009 6-8:00 pm at the Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia.
Friends may visit on Friday July 17, 2009 from 1-4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
Pallbearers will Ministers of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Winchester, Virginia.
