Priscilla Lillie Williams
Priscilla Lillie Williams, age 84, of Winchester VA was escorted into heaven on Friday, October 20, 2017. Mrs. Williams was born August 20, 1933 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Lillie Bland Travis. She received her education at Douglas School.
In her earlier years, she married John O. Williams, Jr. who preceded her in death. She enjoyed many years of employment at Grafton School as a housekeeper. She took pleasure in politics, news, luncheons with special friends and sports, both viewing on television and in her earlier days playing sports. Mrs. Williams' main motivation in life was to be active and productive each day. Her greatest gift of service was faithfully providing support to her husband and children.
She is survived by three daughters: Barbara J. Williams of Winchester, VA, Sharon A. Williams of Pittsburg, PA, and Sherri A. Williams of Chalmette, LA; three sons: John O. Williams, III (Jacqueline) of Hagerstown, MD, Dennis A. Williams (Lisa) of Shepherdstown, WV and Darrell L. Williams of Winchester, VA. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Butler and Beatrice Cartwright (Allen), all of Winchester, VA and a brother, Roland Bland, Sr. of Washington, DC; eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her two siblings, Lucille Bland Moten and John Douglas Bland Travis preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Cartwright Funeral Home of Winchester, VA. Pastor Mark D. Kennerly of Impact Christian Church of Winchester, VA will be officiating.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
