Rensy Spencer Murphy, Jr.
Deacon Rensy S. Murphy, Jr. 63, of Winchester, Virginia, formerly of Wrightsville in Covington, Va., died Monday June 4, 2007 in Lynn Care Center in Front Royal, Virginia.
Mr. Murphy was born November 7, 1943 in Covington, Virginia the son of the late Rensy S. Murphy, Sr. and Norma Wilson Murphy. He was an Army and Air force veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia where he was a Deacon and usher.
He was married to Kimberley Jackson Murphy of 855 N. Braddock Street, Winchester 22601, formerly of Hot Springs, VA.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife; care giver, Douglas Jackson of Winchester; one daughter, Renita Jeter of Covington, Virginia; two sons, Reginald Murphy of Covington, GA and Gregory Murphy of Moss Point, MS; a sister, Dorothy Persinger of Lawton, KS; several grand children and one great- grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am Saturday June 9, 2007 at Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia.
Friends may call Friday 1 to 3 pm at the funeral home and the family will receive friends Saturday one hour before service at the Church.
Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, Virginia with Military Honors afforded by the Winchester VFW # 2123.
Pallbearers will be Members of Zion Baptist Church Ushers Board
