Obituary

Richard" Dread" Washington Miller

Richard Washington Miller was born in Trelawny, Jamaica.

Everyone who knew Dread remembers his smiling face and sense of humor.

Everywhere he walked he brought laughter to the room.  All who encountered his presence say that he was a sweet soul and always had a story to tell.

He was a soul on a journey, he gathered many stones along the way and touched many hearts.

Although there are no known relatives he left behind a community of people, who considered him to be family.

He was welcome in homes and hearts of many.  A song he enjoyed was Buffalo Soldier by Bob Marley.  He called himself Buffalo Soldier.

A memorial Celebration of his Life will be 11:00 am February 13, 2021 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia with Rev. Dr, Gilbert M. Mack, Jr, officiating.

We will be following CDC Guidelines for COVID-19.  Mask must be worn.

We here at Cartwright Funeral would like to Thank everyone who help make this day possible for Brother Dread., with their financial contribution and prayers. A special thanks to Investigator Jason Hardt for also making this possible.
