Bro. Robert "Bobby" Brooks was born June 10, 1950 in Winchester, VA. He was the son of Pr. Elder Robert Wesley Brooks and Sr. Mother Dorothy Ann Brooks. Bobby worked at Rubbermaid for 25 years before retiring. Bobby could always be seen walking around his neighborhood; and always with a friendly hello when he passed others. Bobby always had a strong faith in God and continued till his last day.

Bobby was known throughout Winchester; he was a 1972 graduate of Handley High School. Bobby had an enormous amount of love for his family; especially his grandchildren.

Bobby Brooks departed this life on Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center. He is leaving behind two children; Mr. Robert Brooks (Mrs. Keesha Monique Brooks) of Frederick County, VA and Ms. Jewel I. Brooks of Winchester, VA. Bobby also leaves behind his mother, Sr. Mother Dorothy Ann Brooks of Winchester, one brother Mr. Wesley Lee Brooks of Winchester, VA, 6 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bobby Brooks is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Elds. Sarah Linda Brooks, and his father Pr. Elder Robert Wesley Brooks.

Bobby Brooks will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2012 at Cartwright Funeral
Home in Winchester, VA with Sr. Bishop J.Z. Terrell.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
