Robert "Rolley" Gremain Long, Sr.
Robert G. Long, Sr., 67, loving husband, father of Winchester, VA., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home in Winchester, VA.
He was married Barbara Brown Long of Winchester.
Mr. Long was born November 11, 1944 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Louis Long and Hallie Carey Long of Winchester, VA. He was raised by the late Germain and Mary Ford. He was a Vietnam Army veteran. He retired from Rubbermaid where he worked production for 28 years.
He is survived by his mother, and wife both of Winchester, VA; two sons, Robert and Michael Long of Winchester, VA.; five brothers, Stanley Long of Stephens City ,VA, Louis Long of N.C., Herman, Cary, and Jonathan Long of Winchester, VA ; two sisters, Deborah Doleman of Berryville, VA, and Cassandra Elliott of Mo.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
Two brothers, Roy and Jerry Long; a sister, Angela Wallace all preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday October 25, 2012 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA with Rev. John Brown officiating.
Viewing will be one hour before service at the funeral home.
Friends may visit from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday October 24, 2012.
Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
