Robert Lee "Junior" Dudley 69, Formally of Plant City Florida, died Thursday October 20, 2016 at the Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.


"Junior" as he was lovingly called by his family and friends. He was born January 21, 1947, the son of the late Willie and Mattie Newsome Dudley. 43 years ago, he made his home in Franklin town W.VA with his companion Martha "Teenie" Burns. "Junior" so enjoyed working on car motors, fishing, talking trash with his friends and grandchildren. You could also catch him and Miss Teenie watching their all-time favorite westerns with a few favorite "choice words" between each other.

"Junior" leaves to cherish his memory; his companion of 43 years, Miss "Teenie" her children; daughter Charlene Burns Collison; sons David and Nathaniel Burns that he raised as his own. He leaves three sisters; Geneva Forbes (Alphonso), Willie Mae Oxendine and Lola Dudley; a brother Roosevelt Dudley (Linda) all of Florida; 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Lamont, Leon (Kayla) Marcus, Elijah, Janea, Daejah, Natylee and Devon; 8 great-grandchildren, Marley, Ziggy, Aaliyah, Mylah, Jaedyn, Braedyn, Kaedynce and Bryce. One, very special niece: Amanda Gainer and great–niece: Angel Gainer, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his Parents Willie and Mattie Dudley, 2 sisters Rachael Mays and Rosie White, 4 Brothers Sylvester, William, Jimmie and John Dudley and 2 Grandchildren DJ and Shaunt'e.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am Thursday October 27th 2016 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA., with Rev. Robert Jackson officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour before service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donation may be sent to the Burial Fund of Robert L Dudley in care of Cartwright Funeral Home 232 East Fairfax Lane in Winchester, Va.

Inurnment will be private at a later date
