Roy Dennis Long
Roy Dennis Long, 60, of Winchester, Virginia died Tuesday March 31, 2009 at
Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Long was born March 08, 1949 in Winchester, Virginia. He was the son of Hallie Cary Long. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winchester, Virginia. He was a member of the Men's Choir, Gospel Choir and the Sons of Allen.
He was married to Kathy Ashby Long of Winchester for 26 years.
He leave to cherish his memory; four sons, Roy Walker of Orlando Florida, Mark Smith, Stanley Long,Jr. both of Winchester, Virginia and David Ashby of Stephens City, Virginia, and; one daughter, Kelly Long Williams of Winchester, Virginia; two sisters, Chris Elliott of St. Roberts, Missouri and Deborah Doleman of Berryville, Virginia; five brothers, Stanley Long, Sr. , Robert Long, Herman Long, and Cary Long all of Winchester, Virginia, and Lewis Long of Wilmington, N.C.; and 9 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday April 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Kevin Wilson¬¬ officiating.
Family will received friends 7-8:00 pm Thursday April 2, 2009 at the church.
Friends may call from 1-4:00 pm Thursday April 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia
