Sondra Elizabeth Reynolds Jackson

Sondra E. Reynolds Jackson, 61, of Fort Washington, MD, most recently residing in Berryville, Virginia departed this life on Friday October 16, 2009 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia after a brief illness.

Sondra was born December 12, 1947 in Berryville, Virginia the fourth eldest daughter of the late Robert S. Reynolds and Catherine Gillison Reynolds of Berryville, Virginia. She was a member Zion Baptist Church in Berryville Virginia. She was a member of the Culinary Minister. She was employed with the Washington Gas Co. for her entire career, retiring with over 37 years of service.

She is survived by her mother Catherine G. Reynolds of Berryville, Virginia; six sisters, Rita Collins, Agatha Hargett, and Donna (Robert) Andrews all of Fort Washington, MD., Cecelia (Curtis) Bennett of Hyattsville, MD., Dianne (Alvin) Kilgore of Temple Hills, MD., Mary (Earl) Johnson of Columbus, Ohio,; a brother –in-law, Don Heard of Columbus, Ohio; an aunt Tomaxine Maxwell of Berryville, Virginia; Uncle Leonard Johnson of Edgewood, MD.; numerous nieces , nephews, godchildren and a host of other relatives and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert S. Reynolds and sisters, Florence Jones and Judy heard.

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday October 22, 2009 at Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia with Pastor Delbert Hicks officiating.

Family will receive friends Wednesday October 21, 2009 7-9:00 pm at the church and one hour before service on Thursday October 22, 2009.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Interment will be in Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
