Violet Blue Glover

Violet W. Glover,84, of Winchester, VA., went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2019.

She was born June 9, 1934 in Loudoun Co. the daughter of the late Aylor and Blanche Williams from Lucketts, VA.

She loved attending her church and being with her church family.  She loved collecting coffee pots, roosters and chickens.  Violet enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James Glover of 28 years. Violet's children are Betty Jean Oversteet (Bill) of Staunton, VA., Lee Rita Tomas (Tandy) of Berryville, VA, Christine Carol Herndon (Larry of Leesburg, VA.,; son, Robert Lee Spinks of Winchester, VA.,; step-daughter, Lynda Kennedy, formally of Charlottesville, VA.; grandchildren, Jonathan Carter of Purcellville, Malinda Carter Spunar (Robbie) of Purcellville, VA., Christopher Herndon (Heather) of Leesburg, VA., Tonya H. Anhut ( Will) of Aldie, VA., Sarah Wilson of Winchester, VA., Travis and Faith Spinks both of Winchester, VA.; and grand-son Justin Kennedy formerly of Charlottesville, VA.  Violet has 9 great-grandkids; Timothy Carter, Sierra Carter, Bryce Carter, Kay Leigh Herndon, Bentley Smith, Aislynn Smith. John Ross Herndon, Blake Herndon, and Ashton Anhut; and several nieces and nephews.

She is the last of 10 siblings total.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Valley Assembly of God Church ,2376 4 ^th Street in Middletown, VA. at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Willian Wood officiating.

Internment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
