William Henry Dixon III

William H. Dixon, III, 24, of Culpeper, VA., died on Saturday July 1, 2017 in Spotsylvania, VA. He was born on January 14, 1993 in Winchester, VA the son of William Henry Dixon, Jr., of Middletown, VA and Georgia Smith of Winchester. He was an active Pvt. 1st Class Virginia Defense Force serving with the 2nd Regiment Alpha Company.

He is survived by a son Ezra Chambers 0f Culpeper, VA.; five sisters; Trudy Skinner of Camden N.J., Evette Murtha of Stamford, Conn., Carla M. Strother of Dover, DE, Jay Daley of Hagerstown, MD., and Dava Smith of Winchester, VA,; one brother, William Roberson of Hagerstown, MD; and a special friend, Jerika Ann Chambers of Culpeper, VA.


A funeral service will be held Saturday July 8, 2017 at 11AM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1317 South Pleasant Valley Road in Winchester, VA. Pastor Tyrone Bennet will bring the eulogy.

Family will receive friends Saturday July 8, 2017 one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA. With Military Honors Afforded by the Virginia Defense Force.
